For students who have completed our Beginner Kintsugi course at Art4Space, this workshop introduces a more imaginative approach to ceramic repair.

Unlike traditional Kintsugi repairs, which reassemble the original broken fragments, Yobitsugi embraces transformation by replacing missing sections of a damaged vessel with carefully selected fragments from a completely different piece of pottery, also known as the Joint-Call Method. In doing so, separate pieces, stories and histories come together to create a unique ceramic object.
