I recently attended a Kintsugi workshop and had a wonderful experience. The ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold seams proved to be both meditative and rewarding to learn. The instructor (John) guided us through each step with patience, from preparing the broken pieces to carefully applying the adhesive and finishing with the metallic powder that gives Kintsugi its signature golden appearance. What I appreciated most was how the workshop went beyond just technique—it introduced me to the philosophy behind Kintsugi, embracing imperfection and finding beauty in what's been broken and repaired. By the end of the session, I'd not only learned a new skill but also left with a deeper appreciation for this meaningful craft. I'd highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in traditional Japanese arts or looking for a creative, hands-on experience.
