Weekend Workshops

I went to an incredible watercolour painting class at Art4space. We were given Prosecco to sip while painting! And at teatime, we were given warm scones with Devon clotted cream and locally made raspberry and rhubarb jam with exotic wholesome herbal teas! The Art tutor, Kim, was very knowledgeable and supportive with getting us all started on a watercolour painting of a meadow. She carefully demonstrated how to start, by painting clouds. Then she showed us how to paint a meadow.. she explained everything very clearly and went round the table helping everyone. The whole class was very relaxing and mindful, especially with gentle music playing in the background. We all finished with different watercolour paintings in our own style. I’m thrilled with mine and learnt some amazing watercolour techniques from the Tutor. The studio itself has lots of space and a beautiful garden, which we could use to sit or paint outside if we wanted to. I would highly recommend !

I absolutely loved the class, it was so in depth and detailed, the snacks were excellent, Kim was absolutely the nicest and kindest and she was so helpful with everything, she was explaining everything so thoroughly and I loved her techniques. Hats off to her efforts and dedication towards the event, really looked like she went out of her way. There were also very lovely exotic tea flavours I’ve not seen in the market before as well as delicious hot scones with yummy cream and one of the best jams, the best part was the jams were local. Thankyou Kim for such a lovely experience. She was genuinely the heart of the event❤️
